Njangi — An intelligent platform for community savings (Tontines)
Njangi automates the centuries-old practice of community savings circles ('tontines'). We turned a fragile, in-person, paper-based ritual into a mobile platform that handles invitations, contributions, rotation, and dispute resolution.

The challenge
Tontines lose members to disputes about missed payments, scheduling, and trust. The owner needed a digital backbone that preserved the social ritual without breaking it.
Our solution
A mobile-first React Native app with a Firebase backend, mobile-money integration for contributions, and an in-app rotation engine. We kept the social rules in the app's defaults so existing tontines could adopt it without re-learning their own ritual.
Live at njangiapp.com with active tontine groups using it for monthly cycles.
